Kenneth E. Fore II, MD

Dr. Ken Fore was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and was fortunate to see much of the United States in his childhood thanks to a career military father/family. He is a graduate of University of Maine, at Orono, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and further health science coursework through the University of New Mexico. Dr. Fore earned his medical degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences School of Medicine in 2005 and completed his residency at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2010. Dr Fore was elected to the leadership positions of Vice Chief Resident and Chief Resident in his two final years. Upon graduating his psychiatry residency, he and his family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia where he continues to practice in several modalities.  

Dr. Fore has been practicing Psychiatric Medicine for 15 years and is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. He is the founding member of Central Virginia Psychiatry where he has been practicing for over seven years. He focuses on all areas of mental health and believes that a combination of psychotherapy, psychopharmacology and psychosocial awareness are paramount in successful treatment. 

Personally, Dr. Fore calls Lynchburg his home with his family and three dogs and cat. His interests include family time, home renovation projects, boating at Smith Mountain Lake, being a car enthusiast, and watching his son play baseball.


 

Stephanie East,

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Stephanie was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She pursued an Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Radford University, a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Lynchburg College, a post-master’s certificate at Walden University and Doctorate of Nursing degree from American Sentinel University. She has been working in the mental health and nursing fields for the last 26 years and has also served in the United States Navy. She sees patients 12 and up and enjoys strong collaboration with local therapists.

In addition to her work at Central Virginia Psychiatry, Stephanie works as a psychiatric NP for Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department, the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents, as well as for Gateway Homes. She serves on the board of the UP Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to mental health and substance use recovery in Central Virginia.

Stephanie resides in Forest with her husband. She has three children and one granddaughter. When she is not working, she enjoys running, playing the recorder, and sitting on her deck with her dog.
